Mike Hayward's talk “Aspects of the Inequality of Women through the ages” covers a wide range of issues including:- 1000 years of outright women’s inequality since the Norman invasion; the religious roots of gender inequality; witch-hunts; medical bias against women from the 17C; impact on genealogical research and locally; Cornish witches and the Cornwall County Lunatic Asylum at Bodmin (called St Lawrence's in 20C) which consistently had many more women patients than men over many decades.

Exhibition at the Archive
In early November 2019 the Archive put on an Exhibition focusing on "Those Who Stayed At Home" during WW2. The display was available to view until Remembrance Day.
